The Top 6 held at Belton lake has come and gone. I would like to say this was my first experience at a Top 6. I had a great time. It is exhausting fishing everyday for a week not to mention the expense. But the level of competition, getting to meet some great people and spending a week fishing was worth the money and the shear exhaustion. I had a terrible first day that put me out of the running right off the bat, but I didn't let that curb my enthusiasm and went on to have a couple of good days. Obviously my goal was to qualify for the state team, but that wasn't in the cards for me. Mr. Perago had a pretty good tournament and weighed a limit every day but one, in which he had four and couldn't find the elusive number five. Willie placed 41st overall out of 251, that is a great showing. William still stands a good chance of making the State team from the SE Region, he just needs a couple of guys to drop out, and with gas prices the way they are and the fact that the Regional Tournament is in South Dakota he has a good chance, We'll all keep our fingers crossed for you Willie.
